Digital fundraising campaign

(Karlsruhe, ) The employees of virtual7 GmbH donated a total of 1,039.42 euros to the non-profit association Karlsruher Kindertisch e.V. Due to the ongoing corona regulations, the amount was transferred to the association in the first week of February. With their donation, the employees want to support children in the city and district of Karlsruhe whose parents cannot afford a warm lunch due to financial or social difficulties. Back in December, the employees of virtual7 GmbH decided to donate the remainder of the CadoozCard plus, which expired in November. The choice quickly fell on Karlsruher Kindertisch e. V. in order to support families for whom a warm meal a day is not a matter of course. All of the proceeds from the donation will benefit children in the Karlsruhe region by subsidizing or covering the cost of lunch. Despite global obstacles such as the coronavirus crisis, virtual7 is optimistic about the future. As part of this voluntary fundraising campaign, employees from three different locations in Germany want to give something back to people who are less fortunate. According to a survey of all-day facilities in Karlsruhe conducted in 2008 by Ingo Wellenreuther, Member of the German Bundestag, co-founder and 1st Chairman of Karlsruher Kindertisch e.V., between five and 15 percent of all children are affected. An alarmingly high figure in today’s affluent society. This makes it all the more important for the employees of virtual7 to draw public attention to this situation with their donation and to actively support it themselves.
